Show the Wind of God!

God continues to amaze me. He is always in the business of relationship. I am encouraged by the work the Lord is doing here on Abilene Christian University campus. With all of the movement between those who are seeking God, all in different ways, I can't help but be amazed at the incredible God we serve.

Some Hardin Simmons students shared what was going on in their hearts and some of what God has already begun to do. It really encouraging to see that God IS speaking to his people and he is not wait on me to do it! As old friends and warriors for the Lord are relocating, there is incredible hope in Jesus as a friend and warrior on our part.

Looking at Abilene as a current citizen of heaven makes me excited for the power of God to be manifest here in every way. I am thankful for the down payment on the kingdom of heaven that God is putting in the hearts of his church here. I am also thankful for the ever-growing passion in the people he has simply put here for now to transform this place permanently. I am thankful.

Praise the Lord of the heavens, the Creator of the mountains and the seas. Praise the Great friend of the weak and lowly.

Come, let us talk about the many ways the Lord shows His love.

"Can he fail? Is his purpose cut short? Does he bear fruit that lasts not for all time?"

Let us gaze upon His beauty and shake in view of His power. Do not be down-trodden O Abilene of the Winds, but look to your Lord and your God. Quick is love and slow His anger. His peace lingers for generations. Do not fear mere men who come and go. Fear the Lord and exalt Him alone!

Daddy...

Daddy, thank You for Your Spirit. Thank You for moving in the hearts of Your people. Thank You for trials and testings, for fire and purification. Thank You for relentless love. Daddy, thank for death. Thank You for what is happening at ACU, for atomspheres and circumstances that are aligning with Your kingdom. Thank You that nothing the enemy is plotting will prosper or achieve victory. Thank You emotional healings, for physical healings, for strongholds that have been shattered and for demonic forces that are being destroyed. Daddy, I thank You that what has been meant for evil You will turn for the good.

Daddy, I thank You for the movement of prayer that You are stirring within people's hearts. All glory and honor goes to You; without You we are nothing. Thank You that You put it within our hearts the words to speak. Thank You that Your Spirit teaches and instructs. Thank You for correction. Thank You for Your word that keeps us in Your truth. Daddy, thank You for those whose hearts burn for You. Thank You for those who You are drawing unto You. Thank You for the harvest. Thank You that You are more than able to complete all things. Thank You for surrendered hearts, for surrendered minds, for surrendered lives.

Daddy, thank You for hedging this campus in with Your presence. Thank You for pursuing this campus, these people. Thank You that Your kingdom holds an unshakeable foundation, that cannot be moved. Thank You Abilene Christian University.

Daddy, we love You, and oh, how we want to love You more.

For all that You've done I will thank You...

God, I just thank You for what you did the week of Summit. I thank for everything that happened with the prayer tent, how You are drawing the hearts of Your people to You. Thank You for the increase and encouragement of faith. Thank You for opportunities to serve one another, to love one another and bear each other's burdens. Thank You that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light. Thank You for the chains You broke and the freedom that was released. Thank You for peace and rest, for Your presence. Thank You for mercy and justice, for Your perfect love that has cast out all fear. Thank You that nothing has been left up to us, except to throw ourselves at Your feet and proclaim Holy, Holy, Holy. Thank You for faithfulness. Thank You for forgiveness. Thank You for the cross. Thank You for opportunity to surrender, to be broken, to be humbled. Thank You that I can decrease, so You may increase. In everything You are victorious, and Your blood is enough. In everything You reign. God thank You that You are King and Lord of all.

Faithful to the end...

Your love is perfect. Complete. Everlasting. The foundation of Your kingdom cannot be shaken. Your kingdom is love. Your love is faithful. You are never-ending.

Abba, we have seen with our own eyes the faithfulness You pour out on us, your children, on a people who have only ever proven our unfaithfulness.

Abba, Your have been faithful to me, even when I turn my back and say," God, Your love is too strong for me. Please, love another.

Yet, You love. You cannot stop loving. It seems farther we run, the more You pursue. The stronger we fight, the longer You hold. You do not give up. You do not back down.

You chase away and destroy all fears. For perfect love casts out all fear. Nothing is impossible with You.

" ...do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name;
you are Mine!
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
Now I am the Lord Your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior."
~ Isaiah 43:1-3 ~

There is none like You, Abba. You alone can do all these things. There is no one to compare.

Thank You for freedom. You lavish Your beauty and wildness upon me. In Your presence I find what I was created for.

Thank You for the intimacy of the wilderness. Thank You for emptying me so that You can fill my heart with Your love, Abba. Your voice is all I hear in this wilderness. It is You and me alone.
There is no other. Every other lover is forsaken. Ever pleasure fades, except for the being with You. In You is fullness of joy and desire.

Your heartbeat shakes this desert floor.
